Proxy module options

Posted on 2022-04-03 Updated on 2024-01-01

InMillion App (IMA) gives you the ability to add unlimited proxies to your traffic. It's recommended to use proxy to give each visit a unique attribute.

For now, IMA includes 10,000+ user agents, which's a very nice feature but you can also pamper 😉 your website more by adding some proxies to the job.

Here's a brief of how the proxy changes the game:

  • Without proxy: you will extract 10,000 unique visits, that's very good.
  • Using 100 proxies: will extract 1 million unique visits, Superb.
  • Using 1000 proxies, will extract 10 million unique visits for each single job. Something like a charm.

Proxy Module contains three options:

1. Auto Free: auto generate free proxies.

2. My own proxy: attach your own proxies (free or premium).

3. System Proxy or VPN: send visits without proxy.

1- Auto Free: discribed in this article

2- My own list:

Select this option if you want to use your own proxies. IMA is compatible with any IPv4 Chromium-supported proxy type and protocol. Below are some keywords you might encounter in your list of proxy providers, all of which are supported:
Shared, Private and Dedicated Proxy, Residential Proxy, Datacenter Proxy, Rotating Proxy, SSL Proxy, ISP Proxy, Mobile Proxy, Direct Connection, Backbone Connection.

How to get proxies?

According to your project and budget, you may purchase a premium proxy or search for free proxy lists.

Premium proxies are fast and stable because it used by a few users and controlled by the company you will purchase from.

To use this option, you have to add your proxies to the Proxy Text Area, you can add it by copy/paste or load it by [Load From Your Own] button.

Note: if you want to load it through a file, the proxies in this file should be in the correct format according to the selected proxy option [Open, With Credentials: Same credentials or not]

Option: [Open]: if your proxies don't require Username and Password, in this case, it must be in this format:

ip:port

then click on Add button to add it to the table.

Option: [With Credentials]: if your proxies require Username and Password, in this case, you have two sub options:

A: Same Credentials: if all proxies have the same username and password, in this case it must be in this format:

ip:port

ip here could be in the regular format (digits) or a host name for example:

12.34.56.78:5644

or server1.someproxyprovider.com:80

1- Type your credentials in its fields

2- Add proxies to the text area

3- Click on Add button to add it to the table.

You can also click on Test button to ensure you typed your credentials correctly.

B: Different Credentials: untick [Same credentials] check box:

Choose this option if each proxy has a different username and password, in this case it must be in this format:

ip:port:username:password

The [ip] here could be in the regular format (digits) or a host name for example:

12.34.56.78:5644:mysuername:password

server1.someproxyprovider.com:80:mysuername:password

How to get free Premium Proxy?

webshare.io gives you 10 free premium proxies free forever with 1 GB bandwidth.

Or get 30% off from smartproxy.com. They provide 55M+ IPs and unlimited connections & threads starting from $8.99

3- System Proxy or VPN:

Sending traffic without interfering with proxy process at all. in simple words: it depends on your current system proxy.

To remove any confusion could arise about VPN approach, forget IMA for a minute.

What happens when you open your browser (Firefox, Chrome, Edge …etc.) and visit a website? The destination site (e.g. Google Analytics) will see your current system proxy. For example:

  • If you live in Australia, all visits will appear in Google Analytics that are coming from Australia (which's your real IP provided by your ISP)
  • If you live in Australia but you're using a VPN software connected to USA location, all visits will appear in Google Analytics that are coming from the USA (which's the IP provided by VPN)

In other words: IMA doesn't interfere with the proxy process at all and it won't attach any proxy to the browser.
